Delta Fox Defense was founded on decades of service in austere and high-threat environments, working alongside intelligence organisations to protect national security interests.
In that world you learn something that does not survive the trip into commercial security marketing: a system you have oversold is a system someone will eventually rely on for something it cannot do. The consequences of that are not reputational.
So we build the way we were trained to. Specify honestly, test the failure mode before the happy path, and tell the person depending on it exactly where the edges are.
How we work
Four principles, enforced in the code
Say what it does, not what it evokes
We keep a written list in the codebase of claims the product is not allowed to make yet. A claim only moves onto the allowed list in the same change that makes it true. We retired our own original tagline under that rule, because the product does not interdict anything.
Reducing noise must never produce silence
The alert logic learns your false alarms, but unknown persons, watchlist matches, loitering, and unrecognised plates cannot be suppressed by any tuning path. A system that has been quieted into uselessness is worse than no system at all.
Fail toward unknown
When a plate read is garbled or a face is ambiguous, the system resolves to unknown rather than guessing at a match. A guess that lands on a household vehicle turns a stranger into a silent event.
Own the hardware, own the data
Every design decision that could put footage somewhere else has gone the other way. The cloud components we do build carry health metadata and nothing else — by architecture, not by policy.
Where we are
Deliberately small, deliberately slow to scale
AIS runs today on a live estate deployment that we built and continue to support. That is where the product gets its scars and its credibility, and it is why we can tell you what breaks rather than only what works.
We are an engineering company, not a cabling crew. Installation is carried out by vetted integrators — frequently the one an estate already trusts — working to a specification we write and commission against. We would rather do the part we are genuinely the best in the room at, and be candid that pulling fibre across a property is not it.
If you need a vendor who will tell you the system is finished, we are the wrong firm. If you want one who will tell you what it actually does, start a conversation.
